Basic pay plus fixed allowances such as housing and transport.

Optional. Paid at the daily wage.

How it's worked out

1

Half a month for each of the first 5 years

For the first five years, the employee earns half a month's wage for every year. Part of a year counts in proportion.

2

A full month for every year after that

From the sixth year on, each year is worth a full month's wage. The award is based on the last wage they were paid.

3

Resignation gets a share

Someone who resigns gets nothing under 2 years, a third from 2 to 5 years, two thirds from 5 to 10 years, and the full award after 10 years.

4

Unused leave is paid on top

Annual leave days that were never taken are paid at the daily wage, which is the monthly wage divided by 30.
