How it's worked out
21 days a year to start
Article 109 gives every employee at least 21 days of paid annual leave a year.
30 days after 5 years
Once the employee has worked 5 years for the same employer, the entitlement goes up to 30 days a year.
It builds up every day
Leave is earned a little each day you work, so after 6 months an employee on 21 days has about 10.5 days.
Unused days have a cash value
Days not taken when the job ends are paid at the daily wage, which is the monthly wage divided by 30.
